The Brockville Tikis have one more game to play before their Christmas break.

Brockville won its final home game of 2019 on Wednesday night. The Tikis snapped a four-game losing streak by upending the Embrun Panthers 4-1 at the Memorial Centre.

Ryan Glazer’s 14th goal of the season gave Brockville a 1-0 lead at 10:53 of the opening period. Zach White made it 2-0 on his 10th of the year at 13:38 of the second. Both goals were on power plays.

Robert Beaudoin cut the lead in half at 7:44 of the third, but Tyler Toomey restored the Tikis’ two-goal lead with his 14th goal of the season 42 seconds later. Glazer’s second of the night gave the home team some insurance with about three-and-a-half minutes left in regulation.

White, who had a four-point game, was named first star.

Brockville outshot Embrun 44-26. Tikis goaltender Brayden Kelso picked up the win and was named second star. Panthers netminder William Nguyen made 40 saves in the losing effort and was named third star.

Brockville (14-12-1-1) remains in fourth place in the CCHL’s Richardson Division, five points behind third-place Perth and three points up on Renfrew; the Timberwolves have six games in hand. The loss dropped Embrun’s record to 18-8-2-1; the Panthers are third in the Martin Division.

Brockville will play its final game of 2019 in Richmond on Sunday afternoon.
